Developed by Kohinoor Apps, Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank puts a fun and unique twist to locking and unlocking your Android device, whether it's a smartphone or tablet. The Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank app is free to use and has been downloaded more than 170,000 times on the Android market. The app is currently only available in English but may come with more language preferences and customizability features in later versions.
How the App Works
Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank lets you choose from a number of screen lock styles that suit your taste. For even greater customizability, you can pick from a number of screen backgrounds and wallpapers to match your style preferences. While the app does act as a prank in that it fools your friends into thinking you have an authentic fingerprint scanner, Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank also serves as an actual lock for your device.
Simply turn the lock screen mode on to activate the "fingerprint scanner" style lock. Note that your phone has to be unlocked in order for the app to work. The app also disables most if not all of your exit options so the best way to unlock is when you touch a preset key location on your phone. Setting a key location on the screen where you have to point for the device to unlock is required before you can activate the app.
While the fingerprint scanning part is only a simulation, the high quality nature of the animation does make it seem like you are being locked from your phone when you "scan" on the wrong touch point. While Fingerprint Lock Screen Prank is installed, the application is launched every time you open the device.
